Mass mailing in FocalScope
FocalScope can be used to dispatch hundreds of emails in a single click for email campaigns, etc. This article details how to create a mailing list in Excel and then upload it to FocalScope for immediate or future dispatch.

Creating a mailing list in Excel
Before any mass mailing can take place, you need a proper mailing list. Create a mailing list as follows:
- Create a new Excel document
- On row 1 of the spreadsheet, enter the following labels successively starting from column 1 to 13: TO, CC, BCC, Placeholder1 to Placeholder10 (see Figure 1)
- Fill in the email addresses in the [TO, CC, and BCC] columns. Please note: the Placeholder fields can contain any type of information, but are currently reserved for future use
- Save the Excel document

Dispatching emails en masse
After you have created and populated your mailing list with the recipient's email addresses, proceed to dispatching as follows:
- In the [Main menu], select [Screen > Administration]
- Click the [Advanced properties] tab
- Navigate to the [Mass email] folder
- In the right-hand pane
- drag your mailing list to the [Excel document] field and wait for the upload completed confirmation
- Set the [Default folder] from which to dispatch the mass mailing
- Set a [Template], an existing Standard Response, to use as the base for all emails in the mass mailing
- Set an [Agent] who will be assigned to the dispatched emails (and any replies)
- Optionally, set a future [Schedule sending on] date and time if you don't want to dispatch the mass mailing immediately
- Click [Submit] to start the mass mailing as scheduled

To monitor the progress of a dispatch, do as follows:
- Navigate to the [Mass email > Submitted] folder. The details and status of dispatched email can be seen in the right-hand column
