How to enable and use drag & drop to third-party applications
Should users wish to keep copies of FocalScope emails on their workstations or share FocalScope emails with other email applications, they can drag & drop emails from FocalScope to their workstation desktop or another email application. This article will detail how to enable and use drag & drop of FocalScope emails to third-party applications.

Enabling drag & drop to third-party applications
- Please note, you must use the FocalScope Thin Client to take advantage of the drag & drop to third-party applications feature: FocalScope Thin Client Overview
- In the [Main menu], navigate to [Screen > Administration]
- Click the [Administration] tab
- Select the [Global Configuration > Thin Client & Accelerators] folder
- In the right-hand pane, under the [Drag&drop] section, tick the [enable drag&drop into 3rd party applications for e-mails] setting
- Click [Save] to apply the changes
- Ask users to log out and log back into FocalScope to be able to use the drag & drop feature for FocalScope emails

Using drag & drop to third-party applications
- Hold down the Alt key and at the same time drag the email out of FocalScope to your desktop or third-party application
- Please note, to select multiple emails for drag & drop, first hold down the Ctrl key and then click on each email in the selection. To select a list of emails, click the first email in the list, then hold down the Shift key and select the last email in the list (all emails in between the first and last email will automatically be selected)
- Once your multiple selection has been made, hold down the Alt key and drag the emails out of FocalScope to the system desktop or another email application
