Getting started with RDL and FocalScope reports

Report Definition Language (RDL) templates can be created  by advanced users who want to build highly customized FocalScope reports. This is entirely supported in FocalScope but requires that the user to be familiar with the report builder provided by Microsoft (see Prerequisites, point 1) 

Additionally, the user also needs to understand how Excel templates work with FocalScope live reports. The Excel template contains all the custom pivot tables / charts / data fields that uniquely represent the data derived from the source FocalScope RDL report. See Prerequisites, point 2 for more information about custom Excel templates and how they are associated with existing RDL reports in FocalScope.
