Referencing a particular message in a new email

Conventionally, to bring a particular email to someone's attention requires you to forward the original message. The drawback of this is that the forwarded message displays below whatever comments the sender added. FocalScope allows any message to be referenced separately. This article details the two methods of referencing messages in a new email.

Tutorial

Copy and paste message reference in a new email

  1. Right-click the message you wish to reference in a new email and select [Copy > Reference]

  1. Create a new email 
  2. In the [New Message] window, click [Reference > Paste > As *] (where * is one of the available reference formats)
  3. The message will be added to the email in the selected as per the selected reference format

Drag and drop message as reference to a new email


  1. Create a new email
  2. Drag the message you wish to reference to the [New Message] window
  3. Select the reference format for the referenced message
  4. The message will be added to the email in the selected as per the selected reference format
