Setting up your Gmail account in your FocalScope demo instance

After signing up for your FocalScope demo instance, log in to the instance. You will be presented with the setup wizard to help you complete the initial configuration to start using FocalScope. You can use your Gmail account in two ways in FocalScope:

    1. In [Step 2 - Shared email accounts], you can use your Gmail account as a shared ticketbox (e.g., sales@gmail.com)
    2. In [Step 4 - Personal email accounts], you can use your Gmail account only for your personal email (e.g., mike.smith@gmail.com). If you have created just one Gmail account just skip [Step 4] of the wizard
    3. To correctly set up your Gmail account as either a shared or personal account, you will need to enter the following details:
      1. Email address - this is your full email address as registered on Gmail (e.g., yourname@gmail.com)
      2. Login - for Gmail accounts, this is your email address or everything before the @ sign, e.g., yourname@gmail.com
      3. Password - the password you chose when you signed up for your Gmail account
      4. Type - for Gmail accounts it is recommended that you use IMAP
      5. Incoming server - this is the IP address / DNS name of the mail server that handles incoming emails. For Gmail accounts, this should be set to imap.gmail.com
        1. Click the [Lock icon] to closed position. This will enable a SSL which secures the connection between FocalScope and Gmail
      6. Outgoing server - this is the IP address / DNS name of the mail server that handles outgoing emails. For Gmail accounts, this should be set to smtp.gmail.com
        1. Click the [Lock icon] to closed position. This will enable a SSL which secures the connection between FocalScope and Gmail
    4. If you are setting up your gmail account as a personal email account, you will need to specify the owner of the account as created in [Step 1 - Users] of the setup wizard
