Configure and Access Mobile APP


FocalScope allows you to stay connected to the office via the mobile client. Current supported platforms are Apple's 3GS, Blackberry 6+ and Android 2.2+. The mobile client is configured from within FocalScope's thin client/browser interface. You simply pick the folders you want to access and synchronize with, when using the mobile client.


 

We will first configure the mobile client before accessing it on our mobile device. From either the Workspace or Administration screens, click the [Configuration] tab, select [Mobile Client] and then click [Configure...].

The "Mobile client configuration" dialog will popup.



 

You can now select the folders/ticketboxes you want to access on your mobile device, the amount and the age (in days) of messages you want downloaded onto your mobile device upon synchronization.

Click [Save] once you have completed your configuration.



 

To finally access the mobile client, you need the link provided in FocalScope, which you will enter into your mobile's browser. This link will always be "/mobicon" after your "domain/instance" URL of your FocalScope site/domain.

From either the Workspace or Administration screens, click the [Configuration] tab, select [Mobile Client] and then click [Download...].

The "FocalScope - Mobile client" dialog will open.



 

You simply need to enter the provided link into the browser of your mobile device and save that as a shortcut or bookmark for easy access.

Optionally, on the iPhone, you can photoscan the barcode by using a barcode scanner application and access the link without entering the URL into the browser.
