To host FocalScope on your own server, you need to ensure you have the correct hardware and software ready to successfully and smoothly run FocalScope. This article details both the hardware and software requirements for hosting FocalScope on your own premises.

  • Virtual Server or Dedicated Server
  • CPU: Minimum 2 cores (4 cores are strongly recommended)
  • Memory: Minimum 4GB RAM
  • Disk Space: Minimum 200 MB for installation
  • Disk Space for database: FocalScope has an additional 15% overhead on the raw email size because of indexing and other functions. Using 50KB as an average size for an email message, and 10,000 as the average number of emails aggregated per agent; the disk space required for a 10 agent environment would be: 1.15(50KB x 10,000 x 10) = 5,000,000KB = 4.77GB

Operating System and Software

  • OS: Windows Server 2012 or higher
  • Web Server: IIS8.5 or higher(*)

  • telephony module deployments require web socket protocol enabled

  • Microsoft SQL 2016 with SP1 (Workgroup, Standard or Enterprise) or higher(*)

  • all types of deployment require SQL CLR to be enabled and full text search component to be installed
