How to backup and restore your FocalScope SQL database

In order to successfully perform a disaster recovery or migration of your FocalScope on-premise instance, you will first need to back up your FocalScope's SQL database and then later restore that database. This article details the steps you need to take to backup and restore your on-premise FocalScope instance.

Please note, your FocalScope SQL database contains all the emails, attachments, files, etc. that you have in your FocalScope instance. As such, backing up / restoring the FocalScope SQL database can take some time (especially for very large databases occupying terabytes of disk space).

Tutorial

  • In the Windows Start menu, run [Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 > SQL Server Management Studio]
