How to manually translate Live Chat UI elements
When using FocalScope's Live Chat feature, it is often necessary to translate the Live Chat UI elements to accommodate regional languages. The translation can be done either automatically using a language pack or manually (using the translation tool). This article details how to manually translate Live Chat UI elements.
Tutorial
Manually translating Live Chat UI elements
For manual translations affecting only the Live Chat UI, it is recommended to create a new language to hold the Live Chat UI translation. Create a new language and manually translate the Live Chat UI elements as follows:
- In the [Main menu], select [Screen > Administration]
- Click the [UI Translation] tab
- Right-click the [UI Languages] folder and select [New Language]
- In the [Define New Language] window, specify an [ID] and [Name] for the new language
- Click the newly-created language
- In the right-hand pane, in the [Search] field, enter 'chat' and press the Enter key. This will display only UI elements related to Live Chat
- Right-click the UI element that you wish to translate and select [Properties]
- Continued in next section...
