Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for data security

Protect customer, employee and enterprise data with two-factor authentication (2fA) and the latest, best-in-class security measures in FocalScope.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, working remotely has become the new normal around the world. Whether in the office, at home, or on the go, employees need to be able to access their work from any location without compromising data security.

In response, companies have scrambled IT departments to cope with the change. And with cyber threats becoming more advanced by the day, IT leaders are challenged with the imperative to support employees, while ensuring data security at the same time.

Here is where FocalScope truly shines: our contact center software is engineered to scale across locations. Companies can easily pivot to hybrid work and enable their customer service agents to work from anywhere securely.

This week, we are introducing two-factor authentication and our ongoing data security measures.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

As cyber threats evolve, passwords alone are no longer sufficient to prevent hackers from gaining access to devices or sensitive company information, particularly with weak or recycled passwords.

To protect against password guessing, we have added two-factor authentication to the system, which allows users to access FocalScope securely by verifying their log-in through an authenticator app on their phones.

Maintaining security with industry best practices

In a digital climate where sophisticated cyber attacks are prevalent, new vulnerabilities constantly emerge. Hence, CIOs and IT leaders need agile solutions that support productive work, and which are prepared for evolving threats.

At FocalScope, we treat security with utmost importance. Recognising that security is not a one and done process, our cybersecurity experts are constantly keeping tabs on security-related issues, news and advisories around the world. To keep it tight at all times, our team continuously updates FocalScope’s security protocols according to industry standards and best practices.

One example is the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), a non-profit organisation focused on improving software security. Led by cybersecurity experts, OWASP is one of many sources of security information that help us maintain security at FocalScope.
